Accelerated Reader (AR)
Students read books based on his or her reading level and completes a comprehension quiz, which will count toward the student's goal. The goal for each student is set by the teacher.
** Your child cannot take AR tests at home.
AR Book Find
Students and parents may use this website to look up AR levels and Quiz numbers for books. If a student has books at home or checks out books from other libraries, then they can determine if the book is an AR book by using this website. Just type in the title of the book, and it will give you all the information needed to take an AR test on the book if the book is an AR book. If the book is not an AR book then it will say "no information found." If the book is an AR book, then the student can bring the AR information to school and take the AR test on that book at school.
DAC's Library Search Program
This is the link to Dorsey Attendance Center's library search program. Students, parents, and Dorsey staff/faculty can use this link to search the Dorsey School library books. Just go to this website and type in the search bar an author's name, a subject, or a title of a book that you are searching for to see if we have it in our school library for the student to check out.
